J Wagner is a songwriter out of Austin TX who was raised in the deserts of New Mexico and one time park ranger for Joshua Tree National Park. His music often draws from this desert landscape. His song (Wagner/Isakov/Elliott)“If I Go, I'm Goin, has been covered by the country artist, Bart Crow, by the Denver symphony orchestra, and also appears on the TV shows, Californication and Teen Wolf. He co-writes often with his long-time friends Gregory Alan Isakov and Ron Scott. Their collaborative work lead to their song “Suitcase Full of Sparks” being featured on NBC's show, The Blacklist. He has been dubbed “A number one best bet” by the Austin American-Statesman, The Dallas Morning News has called him “A Texas folk music staple”, and the Austin Chronicle gives his album "The Runaway Kid" a perfect "Four Stars" and refers to Wagner as "A commander of words and ideation" and awarded him with the Austin Chronicle's pick for best Local Singer Songwriter for 2014.

The Quiet American is husband and wife duo, Aaron and Nicole Keim. A home-grown modern folk revival, their music incorporates traditional ballads, banjo breakdowns, raggy choruses, gospel duets and other dusty Americana gems, all delivered on a wide variety of acoustic instruments. Gathered around a single microphone, Aaron and Nicole present a concert experience that pays tribute to old time folk music traditions yet strives to connect to a modern audience. Dusty back porch or shining concert hall, The Quiet American reminds you why home made, hand crafted, American folk music will never fade away.

In addition to traditional American folk instruments, Aaron and Nicole are well known for their ukulele playing. Since 2004 they have been all over the world teaching ukulele techniques and performing at ukulele festivals. They are ambassadors for old time folk music in the ukulele world, adapting banjo and guitar techniques to the ukulele and publishing several books. Nicole's handwritten notation and illustrations in these books are the perfect compliment to Aaron's arrangements. Aaron is also a luthier, building instruments for Mya-Moe ukuleles (www.myamoe.com) since 2011 and as Beansprout from 2007-2011.
